Hi, I’m Kristy Reid! I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a PA Certified Level 2 Special, Early Childhood, and Elementary Education teacher with over 15 years of experience supporting children and families in the Chester and Delaware Counties. I’m also a proud mom of two young boys, a wife, and a volunteer basketball coach with Special Olympics. I have worked in a variety of schools, Intermediate Units, ABA companies, and private families over my career. My passion lies in building confidence, teamwork, fulfillment, and joy in every child and helping parents and caregivers of those with special needs feel seen and supported as they navigate the neurodivergent world. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a variety of learners in different settings, using evidence-based strategies to help them grow socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. I truly believe that learning happens best through connection, fun, laughter, and yes—often a bit of silliness! My goal is to help every child feel understood, build meaningful relationships, and live a full and happy life.
Our Sunday Social Skills Groups are designed to help children build meaningful connections, develop confidence, and truly enjoy the process of learning how to interact with others in their lives. Each group is thoughtfully created by pairing children based on their skill levels, interests, and individual goals—because the best learning happens when kids feel comfortable, understood, and excited to participate! Our ultimate goal is to foster genuine connections and to create a supportive, welcoming community where every child can thrive.
Sessions run in 8-week cycles, with each week focusing on a specific social-emotional skill each week. Topics may include initiating and responding to greetings, improving communication, understanding social cues, emotional regulation, accepting “no,” handling losing or things not going “my way”, cooperative play, self-advocacy, connection based on common interests, and so much more! Each session is supported by a dedicated team of BCBAs, RBTs, and other experienced professionals who share a deep passion for helping children grow.
To promote real-life success, families will receive weekly supplemental activities to practice the skills taught each week at home and to encourage generalization beyond the weekly group setting. Whether your child is just beginning their social journey, struggling to make or maintain friendships, or working to strengthen existing skills, we are here to support them every step of the way—with encouragement, connection, and plenty of fun along the way!
